God’s Temple
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you. I Corinthians 6:19
When I was younger, I always heard it from my elders that “We have to take care of our physical body because this is God’s temple.” When I grow up as an adult, I’m always reminded of this statement.
I devote to take care of my physical body because this is God’s gift. Whatever body structure and size we have, it’s God’s best gift to us. It is just right to give high regard to our own physical body.
Getting a full body massage today made me feel lighter and better. I’d like to share with you the benefits of getting one.
- Helps fight Fibromyalgia Symptoms – According to the American College of Rheumatology it is a chronic condition characterized by muscle pain, fatigue and tenderness. This can be brought by stress and lack of sleep. Frequent massage helps relieve stress as well as alleviate muscle pain.
- Helps ease Surgical Effects – After undergoing any surgical procedure, massage can help the patient get back on his feet by increasing circulation, relaxing muscles and improving joint movement and flexibility.
- Helps Improve Mood – A good full body massage can make you feel relax and make you feel good mentally. Surprisingly, it may even help treat anxiety and depression. In addition, it also appears to increase the feel-good hormones serotonin and dopamine.
- Helps relieve Headache – Oftentimes, migraines are triggered by stress and poor sleep. Massage give us better quality sleep and preventing migraine attacks. Massage therapy can help relieve headaches.
- Helps lower down Blood Pressure – High blood pressure can lead to stroke and heart attack. Giving our body at least three (3) ten-minute back massages in a week helps lower down blood pressure more than people who spent the same amount of time just relaxing.
- Helps increase flexibility – Massage can help you maintain flexibility and range of motion by working the muscles, connective tissue, tendons and ligaments, and by stimulating the production and retention of the natural lubricants between the connective tissue fibers.
- Helps break Back Pain -Back pain is one of the most common reasons people seek massage, many are not aware of just how helpful a treatment it is. Massage therapy is more effective at relieving back pain than other therapies.
- Helps control Carpal Tunnel – Carpal tunnel is a painful condition in which the median nerve that connects the forearm and hand becomes pinched. Symptoms include burning, tingling or numbness in the palm, thumb and middle fingers. It can also lead to difficulty forming a fist or gripping small objects. Carpal tunnel patients receiving regular massage had less pain, reduced symptoms and improved grip strength.

Start Each Day with A Grateful Heart
I woke up late today at around eight o’clock in the morning. I don’t need to report to my full-time job because it’s a local holiday. When I woke up, my kids weren’t already beside me. All I heard were the sounds of the e-fan and dogs barking outside.
As I stretched my arms up in the air, I heard my joints. They’re saying “Thank you Lord for the strength and another brand new day.”
Not everyone is given the chance to be alive again. Not everyone is given another brand new day. I remember the story of a man who did not wake up the following day after a sound sleep last night. His family was not ready to face the end of his life. He just went to bed and was not able to wake up the next morning. He may be missed a lot of chances and opportunities. He maybe was not able to say “I love you” to his wife and children. I realized that “Life is Short”. Life is sacred; life is what we make it. We are not sure of tomorrow; we are not certain what our future brings.
However, there is something that we shouldn’t miss —to be always thankful for THE BRAND NEW DAY.
Today is my first ever day to write something publicly. And this is my special day to be grateful for this BRAND NEW DAY.
I want to share a lot of things with you. From my own personal experiences, about love, life, home, children, family, parents and a lot more. I want to draw them from my plights and it’s my prayer that you can make connections with me.
Have a productive day and see you very soon.
Thankful,
Sugar
